What is the cancellation policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Both the student’s and my time is valuable and I respect them both. Should a session be canceled less than 24 hours in advance by the student, the student will be charged for the session. Should a session be canceled less than 24 hours in advance by the tutor, the student has two options. They may either schedule a make-up session or the next scheduled session is offered to the family at half price.
What if the tutor is late?
I pride myself on being punctual. However, in the case of an emergency, should I arrive a few moments late, I will make up the time at the end of the session or at a time arranged by both parties. If for some reason I am more than 15 minutes late, I will make up the time at the end of the session, or a make-up tutoring session will be offered at half price.

How much do you charge?
My hourly rate is $40. I also run some specials—please feel free to inquire!
How do I pay for tutoring sessions?
I request that tutoring sessions be paid for no less than 48 hours in advance. I offer many options for methods of payment from which you can choose.
Are there any testing fees or hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs or testing fees at The Learning Garden. Unlike education centers, which charge hundreds of dollars for pre- and post-testing, my hourly rate is all you pay for assessment of strengths and weaknesses, tutoring, and goal setting. There are no registration, set-up, or closing fees, either.
Do I have to sign a contract?
There is a policy agreement that gets signed to be sure all parties are aware of our company polices, such as payment and cancellation, but I do not require a long-term contract to work with your student.
